Accessibility Statement
Last updated: June 1, 2026
Tim's Toolbox LLC is committed to making this website usable for everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.
What we've done
- Semantic HTML & heading order
- Keyboard-operable navigation
- Visible focus indicators
- AA color-contrast text
- Labels on every form field
- Descriptive image alt text
The site also respects reduced-motion preferences, scales cleanly on phones and tablets, and allows browser zoom.
Accessibility toolbar
Every page has a floating accessibility button, the person icon near the bottom-left corner of your screen. Open it to tailor the site to your needs. Your choices are saved in your browser and stay on for your next visit. The toolbar includes:
- Text size — four steps, from smaller up to extra large.
- High contrast — a bold black, white, and yellow color scheme (also one tap away from the quick-contrast button).
- Reduce motion — turns off animations and smooth scrolling.
- Reading guide — a highlighted band that tracks the line you are reading as you move your pointer, to help you keep your place.
- Highlight links — outlines and underlines every link so they stand out.
- Bigger line spacing — opens up the space between lines, words, and letters for easier reading.
- Reset all settings — returns everything to the default in one click.
The toolbar is fully keyboard-operable, works with screen readers, announces each change, and automatically honors your device's “reduce motion” setting. It runs entirely in your browser, with no third-party script and no tracking.
Standards and compatibility
We target WCAG 2.2 Level AA and check the site with current versions of the major browsers (Chrome, Edge, Safari, and Firefox) on both desktop and mobile, including keyboard-only navigation and common screen readers. Embedded third-party content, such as the map on our contact page, comes from outside services whose accessibility we don't fully control, so the same information (our service area, phone number, and email) is always available as plain text elsewhere on the site.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is never truly finished. We review the site as we add content and fix issues as we find them. If you use assistive technology and run into a barrier, we want to know so we can fix it.
